TRACKING

Tracking is a sporting event in which your dog learns to follow human scent and demonstrate its ability to locate people, articles, or evidence.    The dog uses its sense of smell to “track” the path of footsteps invisible to the handler over various surfaces and terrain.    This sport showcases pure instinct in the dog and dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages find tracking to be one of their favorite activities.    Tracking is an activity that you can begin with an 8 week old puppy all the way to a senior dog that has retired from more strenuous venues.  When dogs know they are headed out to track they will pull with glee to the starting location!      Tracking requires little equipment and can be trained year round in the great outdoors.      Tracking classes are offered on a group and private basis and methods used will build complete independent performance in the dog as he is the one who’s “nose knows”.      My tracking program is perfect for those just looking to give tracking a try and will also prepare teams for titling in AKC tracking (TD TDU TDX VST) as well as Schutzhund 1-3 and FH.       One of your dogs favorite commands is sure to become “SEARCH”!    SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, GRAB YOUR DOG AND HEAD OUTDOORS ITS TIME TO TRACK!
